The report covers 11 of the largest publicly held O&G companies that disclose to CDP, ranking them in a league table based on metrics which could impact their financial performance. The metrics presented are related to the key industry-specific risks associated with the transition to a low-carbon economy and are crucial for both investors and companies to be aware of. The metrics are fossil fuel asset mix, capital expenditures on future resource development, emissions, and carbon management risks, climate governance and strategy, and water resilience.
The event will also share key areas for investor engagement with O&G companies, including a new partnership between CDP and EDF to increase methane disclosure from Oil and Gas companies. In lieu of the Canadian government’s commitment to reduce methane emissions from the oil and gas sector by 40 to 45 percent below 2012 levels by 2025, the presentation will provide key methane emissions metrics for companies and investors to track.
Please register at your earliest convenience since the event capacity is 40 persons for this free in-person event.
