Letter from the Matrix Search Group to the Future Canada
As a Participant to the Global Compact Network Canada, we are strongly aligned with increasing diversity and inclusion, where our goals are centered on the sustainable development and connections of people to business. We believe strongly in the voice of Canadians, and are thankful that in Canada we have a society where having a voice is encouraged. We are vocal and active in our support for inclusion, and strive to create opportunities for all in the workplace.
Our mission is to inspire, educate, and advance communities. Diversity is Canada’s strength, and our firm embraces our own diversity. We are committed to build and promote the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to further advance parity for people. We actively invest in progress toward inclusivity through partnerships, sponsorships, education, and committee participation. Collaboration creates the tone for sustainable change. With the focus on advancing opportunities for women, young professionals, people of colour, LGBTQ2, and Indigenous peoples, we are fixated on the importance of parity in Commercial Real Estate and Corporate Canada. Only together does change happen.
Canada is a nation that embraces and welcomes diversity to the table. In 1982, Prime Minister P.E. Trudeau welcomed and created the protection of Canadians through the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. With a purposeful vision led by the Global Compact Network Canada, the private, public, academic and community sectors are working together to form partnerships that are aligned with the United Nations SDGs.
To the future Canada, our vision is focused on the embracement of the true value of all people. Canada will remain and will further be recognized as a world leader in innovation, creativity and the education of people and an inclusive society. Canada is a country with a multitude of cultures that define the fabric of the nation. Inclusion and parity are inevitable.

“We but mirror the world. All the tendencies present in the outer world are to be found in the world of our body. If we could change ourselves, the tendencies in the world would also change. As a man changes his own nature, so does the attitude of the world change towards him. This is the divine mystery supreme. A wonderful thing it is and the source of our happiness. We need not wait to see what others do.” – Mahatma Gandhi
