Mari-lou Dupont is a senior manager at the United Nations Global Compact, the world’s largest voluntary corporate sustainability initiative. She is leading the Action Platform on Decent Work in Global Supply Chains, a group of multinational enterprises and partners committed to take action and develop tools to improve working conditions and human rights in their supply chains. Mari-lou joined the UN Global Compact in 2018 after working as a legal expert at the OECD supporting the responsible business conduct workstream. She has also advised French business associations on the applicability of the French Duty of Vigilance Law. A lawyer by training, she worked alongside Canadian indigenous communities advocating for rights and sustainable development.
Mari-lou holds a Law Degree from the University of Montreal/York University as well as a Degree in anthropology from the University of Montreal/Lund University. She was admitted to the Quebec Bar in 2008 and has successfully completed her equivalence to practice law in France.
