Public-private partnerships on climate action help demonstrate the economic case for ambitious climate policy; governments can build on the growing business leadership to enact stronger, more committed policies. These partnership variants dubbed ‘ambition loops’ are positive feedback loops in which private-sector leadership and government policies reinforce each other and are emerging around the world. This session will discuss the concept of an ‘ambition loop’ and examples from Canada and around the world.
