This Sustainability Spotlight Webinar focused on how Univar Solutions commits to advancing the SDGs through its focus on six key areas of sustainability and corporate responsibility: Energy and emissions, resource use, responsible handling, safety, sustainability supply chain as well as equality and diversity, while never putting profit before safety.
The presentation highlighted how Univar works toward more efficiently using resources while reusing materials and reducing waste through responsible manufacturing, and finding innovative solutions to global issues.

Adam Iasenzaniro, Vice President Focused Industries – Canada, Univar Solutions
Mr. Iasenzaniro was appointed Vice President of Focused Industries for Canada in October of 2018. In prior roles, Mr. Iasenzaniro has served as General Manager for Ontario & Manitoba and General Sales Manager for the Ontario region, overseeing sales growth and sales operations within the province in addition to other positions of increased responsibilities in Sales and Finance. Mr. Iasenzaniro joined Univar Solutions in 2008 as a Customer Service Representative for the Composite, Plastic & Rubber (CP&R) Industry. In his personal life, he has served local communities as a volunteer support & social worker since 2004.
Liam McCarroll, Sustainability Manager – Global, Univar Solutions
Mr. McCarroll joined Univar in January 2017, serving as the Sustainability Manager in a global capacity. From 2014- 2016, Mr. McCarroll held the title of Global Sustainability Officer at Innovation Group, a major service provider to the insurance industry. Prior to joining Univar, Mr. McCarroll also held roles in energy generation and the energy generation supply chain. Mr. McCarroll holds a bachelor’s degree with honors in environmental management from the University of Northumbria, a master’s degree in environment, health and safety from the University of Sunderland and is currently progressing in doctoral studies on workplace pro-environmental behaviours.
Sukhjit Varaich, Environment Health & Safety Director – Canada, Univar Solutions
Mr. Varaich is an Environment, Health and Safety professional with over 13 year of experience within the Chemical Distribution Industry. He is skilled in Chemical Safety, Industrial Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Regulatory Compliance, as well as Safety Coaching. At Univar Solutions, Mr. Varaich has held several roles overseeing EHS, such as National EHS Manager, EHS Representative (BC Region), and Corporate EHS product control. Furthermore, he holds a Diploma of Technology specializing in Occupational, Health and Safety.
