Message from the Honourable Rachel Notley
Premier of Alberta

Albertans have always been strong and resilient, and I am incredibly honoured that they put their trust in me to lead our province. Alberta has always been a great place to live and raise a family, but we are not without challenges. Our government is dedicated to making life better for Albertans by tackling those challenges head-on.

Today, Alberta is a major an oil and gas producer in a world on the cusp of a green energy shift. As you read this message, I hope you can say our decisions have led to a strong, stable, diversified economy, and our commitment to combat global warming has preserved our nation’s water, air, and inspiring landscapes for future generations.

Today, while we are fortunate to live in a progressive society, there are still those who remain vulnerable to violence, poverty, and oppression. I hope that you can say our policies have helped to empower and create safe spaces for women, the LGBTQ community, First Nations communities, and other minorities.

Today, our government is dedicated to maintaining Alberta and Canada as places where vibrant communities flourish, and where all our citizens can continue to step confidently into the future. As you read this, it is my sincere hope that you are still stepping forward, still striving for innovation and advancement, and still proudly, strongly asking what you can do to make our great province and country even better.
