Marcie Hawranik, Founder and President, Canadian Equality Consulting
Marcie is the Founder of Canadian Equality Consulting; a company that supports workplaces to help them recruit, hire and advance more women and other marginalized populations as well as to build inclusive cultures where all employees can thrive. She has a master’s degree in international conflict resolution from the Maxwell School at Syracuse University, a bachelor’s degree in political studies, and extensive experience in gender analysis, gender mainstreaming, diversity and inclusion, policy and program development, and stakeholder engagement.
Marcie co-hosts a podcast called “(ex)clusion,” an exploration of equity, diversity and inclusion best practices. She has written policies for, trained and advised Premiers, political leadership contestants, Ministers, MLAs and Councillors. She has presented on gender equality to the United Nations, the Canadian House of Commons, the World Bank, and was recognized as a SHE Innovator by UN Women for her work to advance gender equality as well as the Premier’s Award of Excellence for innovation.
