Geoffrey Pegg
Sustainability Director, TELUS
Growing up and living in the Lower Mainland has provided Geoff Pegg, Director – Sustainability, Utilities & Energy Management with TELUS, a true appreciation for our natural surroundings, from the ocean to the rainforest. Geoff has held a series of progressive roles with TELUS over the past dozen years with a focus on putting customers first. Prior to joining TELUS, Geoff worked in the industrial supply and transportation industries where he developed his passion for leadership and career development. Geoff also serves as vice-chair of the Vancouver Fire & Rescue Services advisory committee, providing guidance and community insight to the Fire Chief and his leadership team in areas such as safety, education and prevention. Additionally, Geoff follows his life-long love of soccer by coaching youth for both Vancouver United FC and Coastal FC. Away from work, Geoff spends time with his family in many sporting activities and helps others to learn and practice waste diversion and recycling at home and at work.Stephanie Tissot
Analyst, Corporate Social Responsibility, Goldcorp Inc.
Stephanie Tissot is a social responsibility analyst at Goldcorp. She oversees the production and publication of the company’s annual sustainability report and also supports mine sites, from northern Canada to southern Argentina, with human rights due diligence processes and sustainability performance tracking. Prior to joining Goldcorp, Stephanie worked at the International Development Research Centre, where she published research on the value of cross-sector engagements for local communities, government, as well as for-profit and non-profit organizations. Previously, she supported the consulting and knowledge functions of the Just Governance Group, a Canadian firm offering multidisciplinary services to advance initiatives on good governance, human rights, justice, conflict and peace, and strategic development. She holds a certificate in corporate social responsibility from McGill University, a Master’s in International Affairs and Conflict Management from Carleton University and a Bachelor in International Relations from the University of British Columbia.Steven Wade
Global Project Director, Ethical Corporation
As a Global Project Director at Ethical Corporation, Steve’s focus is on engaging with thought-leaders in responsible business and researching the upcoming trends that will impact the role of corporate social responsibility. Steve’s particular areas of focus include extra-financial reporting, sustainability communications. Social license issues in the extractives industry & regional developments in Asia pacific. Steven also runs Europe’s largest sustainability reporting conference, and will share some lesson’s learned from there, but also will share insight and data from The State of CR Reporting survey, which included 948 stakeholder responses global.Wesley Gee
Sustainability Director, The Works Design Communications
Combining academic expertise with extensive professional experience, Wesley leads The Works’ sustainability practice.
He provides guidance in stakeholder engagement, materiality and performance measurement, as well as CSR/sustainability communications and reporting. Wesley contributed to the development of the GRI G4 guidelines and serves on sector working groups with the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board. He is a judge for CPA Canada’s Corporate Reporting Awards and is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and events. He also lectures for the CSR certificate program at the University of Toronto and for the sustainability certificate program at Ryerson University. Before joining The Works, Wesley was senior sustainability consultant at Stantec and senior CSR advisor at the Canadian Business for Social Responsibility. He holds a Master’s in Sustainable Business from the University of Leeds.
