With over 25 years of experience working in competition law, Ms. Tremblay is an Associate Deputy Commissioner of the Cartels and Deceptive Marketing Practices Branch at the Competition Bureau. She began her career working as a lawyer in private practice before joining the Bureau in 1998. Since then, Julie has held a number of leadership roles in various branches at the Bureau, in addition to serving in 2008 as Acting Director for the Intake and Early Resolution Unit at the Office of the Information Commissioner.
As Associate Deputy Commissioner, Ms. Tremblay has successfully led several complex and high-profile cases dealing with civil and criminal matters under the Competition Act. She has extensive experience in building domestic and international partnerships and has been recognized for her role in supervising key policy initiatives for the Bureau.
