Nicola Pfeifer is the Senior Legal Counsel at the BC Securities Commission's Office of the Whistleblower. She also works in information sharing at the Commission. Nicola spent ten years as a federal prosecutor at the Public Prosecution Service of Canada working in economic crime, followed by a number of years as a Senior Competition Law Officer, leading investigative teams at the Competition Bureau of Canada. Her background is primarily in fraud, working with domestic and international law enforcement partners. She has also been a spokesperson for Fraud Prevention Month, helping raise awareness about fraud and misconduct in the marketplace.
