Firas is Vice President, Environmental Advisory at WSP Canada. He works with governments, investors, and infrastructure owners to turn climate resilience and sustainability priorities into decisions and action.

With more than two decades of experience at the intersection of business strategy, climate risk, sustainability, and infrastructure, Firas has helped shape climate and sustainability decisions across the public and private sectors. He has led global multidisciplinary teams, built and scaled national sustainability and climate advisory practices, and served in a senior sustainability leadership role with one of the largest sovereign wealth funds globally.

His experience spans engineering, investment, and executive management, giving him a practical view of what it takes to deliver change across complex organizations. Firas focuses on the enabling ecosystem for implementation: governance that supports decisions and accountability, technical capacity to develop solutions, and partnerships and investment that help bring those solutions to scale
