Combining academic expertise with more than 20 years of extensive advisory and consulting experience, Wesley is a Principal and leads Works Design’s sustainability practice. Drawing on his background as a consultant, Wesley advises a wide range of companies, cooperatives and Crown corporations, including leading brands in financial services, insurance, energy, infrastructure, mining, consumer goods, retail, real estate and technology.
He has in-depth expertise in global frameworks, including the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standards, the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) Standards, the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD). Wesley is a lecturer for the Master of Science in Sustainability Management program and Post-Graduate Diploma in Social Responsibility & Sustainability at the University of Toronto, and is on the advisory committee of the Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability Institute at The Conference Board of Canada.
Before joining Works Design, Wesley was a Sustainability Consultant at Stantec and Senior Advisor at Canadian Business for Social Responsibility. Wesley holds a Master of Science in Sustainable Business from the University of Leeds and a Postgraduate Certificate in Cleaner Production and Sustainable Development from Lund University.
