Philippe Crête has over 19 years of experience in investment, asset management and project development across forestry, agriculture, renewable energy, and carbon markets. He is Managing Director of Natural Capital and Environmental Markets at Fondaction Asset Management, where he designs investment strategies for institutional and private clients, leads capital raising efforts, and oversees fund performance. He also chairs the boards of the Inlandsis Fund and the Circular Economy Fund.
Previously, Philippe spent eight years with the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) as Regional Coordinator for Africa under the UN-REDD program, supporting over 20 countries in building national carbon markets and investment programs in forestry and agriculture. Before that, he was a Partner and Deputy Director at ÉcoRessources (now Coop Carbone), where he led GHG reduction projects, carbon credit brokerage, and emission reduction strategies for major emitters.
He holds a bachelor's degree in international development and economics, and a master’s degree in Bioresource Engineering from McGill University.
