Kris Geekie

Director, Community & Indigenous Engagement, Canada at Enbridge


Kris Geekie is Director, Community & Indigenous Engagement for Canada at Enbridge, where he leads lifecycle engagement with Indigenous communities and local stakeholders across the country, including the implementation of Enbridge's Indigenous Reconciliation Action Plan.

Kris brings more than 25 years of experience in Indigenous engagement, community relations, and regulatory approvals within the energy and natural resources sectors. Prior to joining Enbridge, he held senior roles with the Alberta Government, Husky Energy, and Nexen/CNOOC, supporting major projects through respectful consultation, regulatory processes, and long-term relationship building.

Métis and based in Calgary, Kris holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Sciences from the University of Alberta. Drawing on Enbridge's recent IRAP refresh and organizational learning, he brings a candid, experience-based perspective on what it takes to embed reconciliation into business strategy and measure the progress along the way. His work is grounded in collaboration, practical implementation, and shared learning, with a focus on advancing reconciliation in ways that create lasting value for communities and businesses alike.
