    • Facilitate open dialogue with communities and the Project Team through regular meetings.
    • Provide ongoing support and act as a touchpoint for communities and the Project Team.

  • Professionalism: Shows pride in work and achievements; demonstrates professional competence and mastery of subject matter; is conscientious and efficient in meeting commitments, observing deadlines and achieving results; is motivated by professional rather than personal concerns; shows persistence when faced with difficult problems or challenges; and remains calm in stressful situations.
  • Respect for Diversity: Works effectively with people from all backgrounds; treats all people with dignity and respect; treats individuals equally; shows respect for and understanding of diverse points of view and demonstrates this understanding in daily work and decision-making, examines own biases and behaviours to avoid stereotypical responses, and does not discriminate against any individual or group.

  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Knowledge of community engagement principles and best practices.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • An undergraduate degree in a relevant field (e.g., sociology, community development, communications) is preferred.
  • Mandatory 3-5 years of experience engaging and working with diverse communities, ideally with equity-deserving groups (including but not limited to racialized, Indigenous, LGBTIQ2S+, women, low socio-economic class, and any other intersecting identities, vulnerable communities such as Northern and rural).
