Desirée Bombenon, a distinguished business leader, has been recognized with several prestigious accolades for her entrepreneurial excellence and commitment to sustainable development. In 2020, she was awarded RBC’s Women’s Entrepreneur and named Ernst & Young’s 2019 Entrepreneur of the Year for the Prairies in Communication Technology. Her expertise spans business strategy, social enterprise, and culture building.

In 2022, Desirée was honored with induction into the WXN Canada’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women Hall of Fame. She actively participates in various organizations, holding leadership roles including Chair Elect for the YPO Sustainable Business Network, and contributes to Singularity University as a cohort member. A proud Harvard University Alumni of the Advanced Leadership Initiative, she also holds an MBA from Queen’s University and a Certificate in Social Impact from the same institution. The UN Economic & Social Council recognized her as a “Champion of Sustainable Development”, bestowing the ‘Enabler of Vision’ award, and she was named one of the SDG Pioneers for 2022 by the UN Global Compact Network Canada. In 2023, Desirée received the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal for her service to Albertans and Canadians. She has established her company, SureCall, as a purpose-driven organization, achieving recognition as a Certified B Corp and consecutively named a ‘Best For the World’ Honouree from 2019 to 2022.
