Şimâl Görmüş (she/they) is the Marketing & Communications Specialist at the UN Global Compact Network Canada, overseeing creative campaigns that enhance awareness, strengthen stakeholder engagement, and support Network Canada's mission. Her experience spans research, advocacy, design and learning & development, giving her a multidisciplinary approach to marketing and storytelling. 

Previously, Şimâl was the marketing lead at the Tourism Industry Association of Ontario, where she directed the organization's communications and branding strategy, worked with all levels of government on project delivery and produced high visibility campaigns supporting key industry programs and events. She has also held roles with OTEC and eCampus Ontario, focusing on user experience research, training management, and digital learning strategies.

In addition to her nonprofit and public sector work, Şimâl is an award-winning visual artist and designer who has collaborated with clients including wmnsWORK and Labour Party UK. She currently serves on the board of LubunTO, a non-profit organization supporting queer immigrants.
