
Recent research shows that companies integrating climate and social considerations into their decision making are developing more resilient and effective strategies. As extreme weather and operational disruptions become part of the business landscape, climate adaptation is emerging as a core lever for business continuity, financial performance, and long-term value creation.
Over the past year, UN Global Compact Network Canada, with support from Natural Resources Canada’s Climate Change Adaptation Program, researched companies building adaptation strategies that account for community impact. The findings reveal factors that enable, or block, initiatives to successfully address climate adaptation in ways that strengthen community resilience.
Presented in partnership with West Fraser Timber, UN Global Compact Network Canada is hosting a hybrid event that brings together these research findings with real-world examples and practical insights for developing community-centered adaptation strategies.
